SCASBOWelcome to the official web-site for the South Carolina Association of School Business Officials. SCASBO is a state-wide organization with over 150 members. Our association is dedicated to providing quality professional development, training programs, and annual conferences that enhance the abilities of individuals in the field of school business management to maximize the efficient operations of school districts in South Carolina.

Message From The President

SCASBO consists of a diverse group of people who represent all areas of school business operations, as well as representing a network of financial stewards of public education. Our members, individually and collectively, serve as a resource to the stakeholders of public education.

SCASBO provides opportunities through its conferences for professional development and the exchange of information and ideas among its members. Other benefits include networking with other school business officials, trade shows which feature exhibits of innovative products, and services available to school systems.

As we are faced with challenges of a depressed economy both in the nation and in our state, I challenge our members to continue to educate all stakeholders with an interest in public education. These include our state leadership, legislators, policy makers, taxpayers, fellow educators, and the public. It becomes more imperative that all school business officials communicate to stakeholders the funding impacts on our children within our state and districts. With the experiences, understanding, and education of our members, SCASBO will continue to be a leader in school operations professional development and a conduit for sound financial practices. SCASBO will continue to be a voice for the children of South Carolina. If you are in the profession of school business and are not a member of SCASBO, I invite you to join us.

Outstanding South Carolina School Business Official Award

The South Carolina Association of School Business Officials will accept nominations from its membership each year for the Outstanding South Carolina School Business Official Award. This award will be presented at the Annual Spring Conference. The award winner will also be recognized at the Southeastern Association of School Business Officials Annual Conference and Exhibits.
